The party decides to venture out from Middleton to Barhold, the capital of Barston. Several members of the party disguise themselves or hide to avoid attracting attention.
Mid-morning, the party encounters an army convoy of about 200 members transporting supplies, including food, weapons, and tents, and tools (shovels, scythes, etc.), traveling north from Ikhil. Gulden approaches the convoy's commander and inquires about their orders and only learns that they are going to Middleton.
The party stays at an inn, but Kiiv stays in the cart and sleeps poorly.
Kiiv wakes up exhausted.
The party encounters 50 cavalry soldiers also riding towards Middleton.
The party stays at an inn. We put manacles on Kiiv and pretend he is a prisoner. A drunken fool (George) attempts to attack Kiiv but misses and falls on his face.
We talk to Flutt, who is disturbed about the fate of Scriggs but has no specific advice for us.
The party decides to long rest so that Kiiv can recover from his exhaustion. George comes back and apologizes for his drunken behavior the night before.
The party hears someone say that Ikhil campaign is over with little (Barstonian) casualties.

The party resumes travel, and Kiiv decides to walk in manacles rather than hide.
The party encounters a man riding in a horse-drawn carriage with an escort of six soldiers. He takes an interest in Kiiv, and ultimately gets in an argument with Gulden. Kiiv firebreaths into the man's face, and a fight ensues.
Enna starts by calling down a massive lightning strike. And then the team eventually takes down the enemy party. Two of the soldiers attempt to flee and get help, but the party manages to stop them. The party obtains one set of human and halfling papers, one set of human and halfling army uniforms, and an encrypted set of orders. Finally, the party found 8 gold, 14 silver, 13 copper which went into party funds.
