Orla and Enna are together in the secluded stairway, and Orla explains her plan to Enna. Enna indicates she approves by sqeaking and pawing the "yes" area on the piece of paper that they used with Scriggs.
Orla writes a note "Cause chaos to get guards to come in!", and Enna delivers it to Scriggs under the door. Orla makes noise and attracts the attention of a guard. Enna runs out and convinces the guard it was just a mouse.
Scriggs shouts for the guards. The two closest guards seem annoyed, walk over, and smack Scriggs very hard. Orla sneaks in, and eventually the guards leave.
Orla explains to Scriggs that she will change him into a mouse and he will leave with Enna. He has 30 minutes. Orla also gives a note to Enna to be delivered to Whipp that says they should ask for proof of life after 30 minutes.
Orla polymorphs Scriggs into a mouse, and Scriggs and Enna depart, heading for the bathroom. Unfortunately, Scriggs fails to sneak past the guard. The guard manages to step on Scriggs who un-polymorphs. Whipp responds from the bathroom and knocks out the guard. Whipp drags him into the bathroom stall and ties him up with his belt.
Whipp and Scriggs stay in the bathroom, and send a note to Gulden to come to the bathroom. Enna takes the note to Gulden and drops it by his foot. Gulden deceptively reaches for the note and reads it. The guard is surprised to find Whipp standing outside the bathroom. Whipp explains the other guard is going to the bathroom. Whipp convinces the new guard to take her back to the office.
Gulden opens the door to find an unknown Halfling and an unconscious guard. Gulden eventually learns it is Scriggs, and casts invisibility on him. Gulden instructs Scriggs to follow Enna. Enna finally delivers Orla's note saying "Ask for proof of life for Scriggs in 30 minutes" to Gulden.
Unfortunately when Gulden returns without his guard, the other guard is suspicious. Gulden eventually convinces the soldiers that it's OK. Gulden asks for proof of life on Scriggs. The warden sends a guard to fetch Scriggs.
Meanwhile, Enna and Scriggs reach the door to the outside, and wait for someone to come. After five minutes, there is a shift change and new guards open the doors. Enna and Scriggs attempt to sneak through the door. Scriggs makes a noise and runs. Enna smells the direction he is running and follows.
A guard opens the door to Scriggs' room and Orla sneaks out. The guard raises the alarm to enter lockdown.
The guard finally returns to the office with the news that Scriggs is gone. The warden leaves Gulden, Whipp and Morro in the office with two guards.
Orla makes it to the outside of the office. Orla finds tiny notes in the bathroom and the unconscious guard, and decides to wait in the bathroom.
Meanwhile, Enna continues trying to follow the paniced Scriggs, but continues to get farther and farther away. Eventually, Enna does find Scriggs and manages to convince him to follow her in the direction of the hotel.
After about 20 minutes, someone opens the bathroom door, and Orla hides herself and the unconscious guard. The room is considered clear.
Eventually the warden comes back and kicks the party out. Orla hears the warden coming, and enters the room with the warden.
The party walks out the door to the prison. Gulden feints that he forgot something as an excuse to keep the door open for Orla.
Enna and Scriggs arrive first at the hotel. Enna looks inside the hotel. Scriggs eventually slips inside, still invisible. Enna unlocks the party's room from the other side and Scriggs lets himself in. Enna finally leaves mouse form.
The rest of the party except for Kestyn reunites with Enna and Scriggs. Gulden picks up Kestyn from the drunk tank, and then the entire party flees the city.
The party decides to stay at the same inn outside the city.
Kestyn buys 20gp worth of supplies to put in the cart.
Unfortunately, it seems like Scriggs is brainwashed and claims that he, Flutt and Glorfinkle started the famine. Supposedly the Elves wanted to start the famine to get rid of the inferior races.
Orla zooms Flutt and tells him they recovered Scriggs. Flutt convincingly says he is not involved in the scheme, and suggests that a Cleric casting "Remove Curse" or "Greater Restoration" may be able to help Scriggs.
Flutt also says that Scriggs is originally from Tendust.
The party starts to head Northwest to the mountains, while dropping hints that they are instead traveling Northeast.
